I realize it’s not morning, but it is Man Candy Monday, so we’re running with it. I don’t remember how exactly I found this swim god, but he just might be the inspiration for my next hero. Broad shoulders and a narrow waist with abs cut enough to grate cheese on < g >, Ryan Lochte fits my type to a T. Plus it doesn’t hurt that he’s won a bunch of gold medals.
Before I get into the RWA details, I’d like to assure you all that I am indeed, still alive. Sorry for the abrupt break, but I’ve been doing a lot of writing lately as I’m quickly closing in on the ending of my first book. With only a chapter and epilogue left (and then of course, some massive editing), I’ve been pretty distracted.
And finishing up means I’ll get to dive into the publishing realm once I’ve put the final coat of polish on it. This leads me to the subject of this post, next year’s Romance Writer’s of America conference, RWA 2012! After hearing all of the fun updates via Twitter this past year, I’m very very eager to attend the next one. Even better yet, it’s being hosted right in my backyard in Anaheim, CA. Here are the details:

RWA Annual Conference Overview | Romance Writers of America.
We fall in love with their characters, their story. So much so we come back week after week to find out which odds they’ll beat next. Here are the best TV couples according to yours truly.
1. Buffy and Angel – Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Forbidden Love. It was their star-crossed romance that got me. Besides they were the vampire couple BEFORE the whole Twilight madness.
2. Clark Kent and Lois Lane – The New Adventures of Superman
Heroic Love. Who wouldn’t want to be saved by Dean Cain? He’s a dish and a complete gentleman who could literally sweep you off your feet at any second.
3. Derek and Meredith – Grey’s Anatomy
Medical Love. Ever since their awkward one night stand and through to their post-it marriage, I’ve loved watching Derek romancing “dark and twisty” Meredith.
4. Castle and Beckett – Castle
Detective Love. They’re the couple I continually throw up my hands and yell at the TV screen for. Get it together and be a couple already!
5. Zach and Kelly – Saved by the Bell
Sweetheart Love. The couple I grew up with, Zach Morris and Kelly Kapowski. He was Mr. Popular and she was a cheerleader. Could it get any cuter?
